Access to the weight loss injection – Mounjaro
You may have heard that from March 2025 the NHS is rolling out the option of the weight loss drug Mounjaro for people struggling with obesity and related health problems.
At the moment, GPs are not able to prescribe this medication, and we are currently awaiting further guidance about when we will be able to prescribe this for our patients and the exact eligibility criteria.
We understand that this may be a priority for you, and we are able to refer patients with the highest need onto specialist services, and provide support for other weight loss options, but for the moment we cannot offer the service ourselves.
