Spring 2026 COVID-19 vaccination clinics
We are running COVID-19 vaccination clinics this spring for patients who are eligible for a booster.
Clinic dates:
- Saturday 18 April 2026
- Saturday 2 May 2026
Appointments are available at Lakeside Surgery. Please book as soon as you are invited.
Who can get the spring booster?
The vaccine is offered to people most at risk of becoming seriously unwell from COVID-19. You are eligible if you are:
- Aged 75 or over (or turn 75 by 30 June 2026)
- Living in a care home for older adults
- Aged 6 months or over with a weakened immune system (for example, due to a health condition or treatment such as chemotherapy),
Why it’s important
Protection from previous COVID-19 vaccines can reduce over time. This spring booster helps to:
- Reduce your risk of serious illness
- Help you recover more quickly if you catch COVID-19
- Lower your chance of needing hospital care
How to book your vaccination
We have already started inviting eligible patients. You will receive an invitation by text message, letter, or phone call.
When you are contacted, please book your appointment as soon as possible. If you are sent a link to book online, please use it.
If you live in a care home or are housebound, we will contact you to arrange your vaccination. Please wait to hear from us.
For patients without a mobile phone, we will contact you directly. Please do not call the surgery.
Before your vaccination
Please leave at least 6 months since your last COVID-19 vaccine, where possible.
If you have any questions about whether you should have the vaccine, please contact us.
